The winter blues are real. Whether you have Seasonal Affective Disorder or just feel a little blah this time of year, there are some easy ways to make yourself feel better.* Staying warm is a simple way to kick the winter doldrums. So wear warm socks out or slippers at home. And why not pop on a pair of fun socks. I know it sounds silly but a pair of fuzzy socks or bunny slippers around the house or a pair of colorful, thick, cotton socks for going out will keep your toes toasty and put a smile on your face! It might seem like fun to hunker down in.
I made a quick trip to Phoenix last week. It was not for pleasure, but there was some time to enjoy the beauty of the area! I felt at one with nature in the dessert, looking at the mountains, breathing in the dry air (good thing I had my essential cleanser and travel mist, or the dry air would have wreaked havoc on my complexion!) It’s fitting that Phoenix, Arizona is named for the mythical bird of regeneration. As I said, this wasn’t a vacation, but I still left feeling rejuvenated. I hope I get to return to this lovely city soon–for a real vacation this time!
